![]() Born into a family of restaurateurs, Richard trained at Llangoed Hall, a prestigious 5 star hotel in the Brecon Beacons. After moving to London, he spent fours years specialising in the corporate events industry, including working at The British Open Golf Championship, Henley Royal Regatta and Royal Ascot. Richard furthered his training when he was appointed Event Manager at one of London's top event caterers, and then Senior Catering Manager at a second. Highlights during this time included working with Marco Pierre White to design a brasserie at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and several other prestigious appointments. After honing his management skills for a further 3 years, Richard was selected to join Smart Hospitality as their Operations Director. His enthusiastic, fresh approach to events and his critical eye for detail has proved a key benefit to the company. His experience in large scale event management has proved a very valuable asset as Richard continues to be a driving force behind Smart Hospitality. |
